On the Internet, we spend nearly all day, every day, making fun of things. But rarely do we take the time to call attention to those who are truly under-appreciated in our society. Though male nurses make up a small minority of the nursing population, they manage to be the butts of a majority of its jokes. This cruel and unfair treatment of ‘murses’, as they prefer to be called, has overshadowed their incalculable contribution to the medical field. Little do most people know, they are the gears that keep the machine running.
