10 Best Revenge Scenes In Movies

article written by:
Taken

Revenge is sweet. And though an eye for an eye is inadvisable in the “real world,” no one really cares if it happens in the movies as long as it’s pretty badass. In that spirit, here’s our list of the top ten revenge scenes. You better not skip ahead to number one. Or else…

10. Taken

Watch Online

Liam Neeson plays an ex-CIA agent who loses track of his teenage daughter while traveling abroad. Turns out she’d be taken by Albanian bandits for her precious, precious virginity. Neeson tracks down his daughter, held at knifepoint by an Albanian sheikh, into whom Neeson coolly fires a bullet.

9. Man on Fire

Watch Online

Aside from the sick cast, Man on Fire is a badass movie in general. (That said, you get points taken off for hackneyed kidnapping plots.) Either way, Denzel Washington plays a CIA agent who must protect Marc Anthony’s daughter. But when the daughter is kidnapped and declared dead by her captors, Denzel takes matters into his own hands. Check out this particularly badass scene:

8. Last House on the Left

Watch Online

In this 1972 Wes Craven horror flick (later remade in 2009) a pack of criminals escapes from the local prison. The group encounters two 17-year-old girls and proceeds to torture, rape, and kill them. The escapees then take shelter from a nice couple in the woods. The hospitable couple soon catches onto their dubious guests, and finds out that the group killed their daughter. So, vengeance.

7. Star Trek II – Wrath of Kahn

Watch Online

Captain Kirk must literally face the wrath of Kahn—a nemesis whose family and legion of supporters Kirk had previously destroyed. In a delightful twist, Kahn leaves Kirk marooned on a distant planet—just as Kirk had done to Kahn. It’s nice to see the bad guys win once in a while—as long as they get their comeuppance eventually (which is exactly what happens here.)

6. Pulp Fiction

Tarantino’s pension for charmingly twisted revenge is on display here — especially when Butch (Bruce Willis) and Marcellus (the guy from Green Mile) wrestle into a gun shop. When Butch escapes, he makes the heroic choice of helping Marcellus who is getting rather sodomized by their captors. It’s hard not to smile when Butch re-enters with a shotgun and hands it to Marcellus.
