New Tenacious D Album is in the Works

It has been quite some time since we last heard from the greatest band in the world – Tenacious D. They beat the devil in their movie “Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny” and that was the last we heard from them. Well, the box office wasn’t too kind to them for the movie and it was also panned by critics. It’s bizarre though because Tenacious D is Tenacious D… you knew what you were getting with that movie… not sure what standard critics were holding it to. The musical gods have smiled upon us this day… THE “D” are making a new album!

In various interviews Jack Black has been doing for the promotion of “Kung Fu Panda 2,” he has talked about the upcoming album. It’s going to be named “Rise of The Phoenix” and it will have 3 songs and will be a chronicling of the D’s return from the box office disaster that was the movie.  Here they perform the title track from the album.
