‘John Carter of Mars’ Awesome Poster (Picture)

There is a movie that is coming out in March of 2012 that is based on one of the coolest characters of all time. “John Carter of Mars” was the brainchild of a science fiction writer from the early 1900′s named Edgar Rice Burroughs. The title character of the novels is “John Carter of Mars” and the story is wildly ahead of it’s time. John is a former Civil War Captain for the Confederacy who is hiding in a Native American cave and seems to die there. His body is astrally projected to Mars which serves as the setting for his many adventures.

It’s insane to think about just how brilliant the story is… and it was published in 1917. Well, they are giving old John Carter of Mars the big screen treatment in “John Carter.” With a story this mind-blowing, it would be a shame if Hollywood ended up making it suck like a water drain using a vacuum.  Don’t let us down, this poster looks pretty sweet… so you’re off to a good start!
