Cheesy Poofs Are Finally Real, Thank God (Picture)
Cheesy Poofs, the #1 snack food in South Park, Colorado – perhaps due to Cartman’s purchases alone – will be sold at Walmarts nationwide! An agreement between Frito-Lay and Comedy Central made this bit of television magic possible, to celebrate the 15th season of “South Park.” They’ll be available for $2.99 per bag. Check out the image below to see ‘em. Those of you at Comic-Con will be able to get your snow mitts on IRL Cheesy Poofs first, cause they’ll premiere this week at San Diego. (I’ll be at SDCC with The Devastator, Booth L-05 in Small Press. If you bring me a new bag of Cheesy Poofs, I’ll give you a mystery prize!?!)
Some folks might say with the 7-Eleven promotion that brought Buzz Cola to life – well, ” ‘Simpsons’ did it.” Doesn’t matter. I’m still excited to down some Poofs, but the “South Park” thing I’d like most, besides an official A.W.E.S.O.M.-O 4000 Halloween Costume, would be a collection of music from the show. Not like “Chef Aid” or the South Park movie soundtrack, but an official collection of original songs from the series. Timeless classics like “I’ve Got Something In My Front Pocket For You” and the “South Park” anime theme. Mooooom! Gimme that! Mooooooooom! [NY Times]
