Ricky Gervais has done what no human being could do previously: make the Golden Globes Award Show entertaining. Certainly not for the celebrities though.
He spent the entirety of the show bagging on celebrities dressed to the nines and calling them out for their arrogance, ignorance, and stupidity.
What’s most impressive about it is that for most people it would be career suicide. For him it’s just another chronicle in a long list of successes.
He’s about to do another first though. Ricky Gervais wants to bring depth and perspective to the world of little people. Or he’ll just make fun of them. Either way, it’s guaranteed to be entertaining.
