You can’t save everyone. Sometimes because they don’t wanna be saved. Mostly because they are too much of a pain in the ass to bother.
Kids are different. Each kid deserves a shot at being better than they’re destined to be. Even if they’re whiny little brats. Even if they won’t shut up about kiddie stuff that don’t matter.
Especially so if they’re not smart enough to defend themselves from bullies.
‘Slumdog Millionaire’ cost $15 million to make. It made nearly $400 million in box office alone. One would think they could sprinkle a few dollars on the two little slum kids they hired to play the main characters as children.
They’ve not entirely been abandoned though. Even though one of the two kids still lives in the slums, they both have a trust in their name that they can claim once they reach 18. That’s not so bad. Outta $400 million, I guess. Right?
