‘Kool-Aid Man’ Causes Scene In ‘The Shining’ (Picture)

Stephen King wrote a lot of books. Many of them were awesome.
Movie producers made a lot of those books into movies. Most of those movies sucked.
One of the few sparkling moments in the Stephen King book-to-film adaptations happened when Stanley Kubrick looked upon ‘The Shining’…and smiled.
Kubrick adapted it masterfully. Jack Nicholson ad-libbed the quote of the decade, “Heeeeeeere’s Johnny!,” and everyone learned that ‘murder’ was ‘Red Rum’ backwards.
But in all that mania there were many questions. Why was the kid freaking out? What connection was there between the kid’s premonitions and the dad’s mania? And why did blood fall out of that elevator?
At least now we have the answer to that last question.
