I admire the woman who puts herself in front of this gigantic beast. One may argue that having a big dog is similar, what with all the razor sharp teeth and ability to tear your throat out in 3.5 seconds. Well, dogs are domesticated. Lions are not. It seems, however, that those being mauled by lions are typically lion-trainers who try to force these wild animals into captivity for entertainment purposes.

There have been multiple so-called lion whisperers who manage to develop a deep and sincere connection with these animals. How do they do it? A connection and understanding with nature? Lack of fear? Lots of respect? All of the above? If we could all be like these people, the world would probably be a better place. But who cares about that crap anyway? I’m going to McDonald’s.
