    Now, most of these animals have a nice filial relationship, and sometimes a parent-baby relationship. But I’m pretty sure that the dog and goose and deer and dog about halfway through have a little something more going on. And I’m not so sure if the little hippo mightn’t be trying to eat the tortoise’s brain. Is it a zombie hippo?
    Great pictures!

    I like the bird covering the mouse with a wing best. You never know who your best friend will be.

    Awesome. But you forgot the snake that befriended what was to be his dinner.

    AAah so cute. Altough some of them seem to be trying to copulate or eat each other.

    The last one is two dogs. Why would two dogs be an unlikely friendship?

    Why is Digg so liberal?

    I dont think the deer and the cougar are ‘friends’ considering the deer’s hind leg is facing the wrong direction [very broken]… need a different couple there. Would be more believable if the cougar wasnt drooling.

    If you look deep into the eyes in actuality they all hate each other. For example look how crazy that fox is, he really wants to be there.

    Not all of them seem like friends. The dog is trying to make a baby with the goose and so is the deer with the dog. They are more romantically inclined than friends. The puma is about to devour the injured deer. The hippo is about to bite the tortoise’s head off.

    @USA
    “Why is Digg so liberal?”
    Because reality has a well-known liberal bias.

    To Ass about the last two pictures, you mentioned that they were dogs, so they are not qualified as friends, actually the first of the two last pictures are a dog and a fox cub, foxes naturally live in the wild, and they are naturally wary of dogs as they will chase them. the last picture shows a wolf cub who was raised by this dog after it was found abandoned. so a fox and a dog, then a wolf and a dog yes, does qualify for a friendships. thank you!

    Just to ruin it for everybody, I’ve heard that the mouse and bird are actually a work of taxidermy. I like the rest of the pictures, but I liked one that gave me a good laugh. The cat and the ferret gave me a big laugh, which only people who read Get Fuzzy would understand.

    some people are so outa touch with what can be seen in the eyes of animals…not hard for me to believe that any of them could be friends. When a friend is in need really doesnt matter if they are not the same. dont think for one minute you may some day need the same from someone unlike yourself.

    The hippo and the turtle are actually fairly famous. When he was a baby, the hippo was orphaned during a tsunami and was stuck in deep mud. Villagers saved the baby and took him to an animal park for safety. There the little hippo befriended a old turtle and they became inseparable for years. Maybe the little hippo thought the shape of the turtle was like his mom’s shape. Owen and Mimsee (I think) are their names.

    Touching and Marvelous all.

    Were humans all so compassionate and friendly with each other. Some pics seem so “unbelievable” to us uninformed ” higher order ” humans that maybe we should have evolution in reverse for a saner world.

    I trust these are for real and not the product of an adroit camouflage expert in Advanced Photo Shop who is a skilled copy and paste curmudgeon.
