StealthVape: Is This Sleek New Vaporizer a Total Scam?

article written by:

Of all the vaporizer products on the market today, StealthVape seemed like it had the potential to be one of the best. But is it a scam?

The StealthVape website has crashed over the past 24 hours or so. Before that, it was a sleek-looking site that introduced a lipstick-sized vaporizer which claimed to discretely vaporize your “herb of choice” without heating up the instrument and burning you.

For $99, StealthVape came with a single rechargeable battery and seemed like a pretty good deal. Despite their instructional video being one of the worst instructional videos ever made, ever, I was still willing to give it a try.

“Let’s buy one right now,” my roommate said, “but find some reviews on YouTube first.”

But there are no YouTube reviews consisting of sad children and forever-alone young adults in their dark bedrooms, smoking the StealthVape and slowly rambling about its good and bad qualities.

And their Facebook seems to contain anti-reviews:

“So when are you giving us all our money back? I see a class action lawsuit in your future. =p”

“Do not give these guys any money or place any orders. They have yet to deliver a single working product to any user.”

“Ok its been almost two weeks since your last update-and i still haven’t received any sort of notification…what is going on here?”

The last update posted by StealthVape was on March 22, claiming that “new components had arrived” and were being worked on on the assembly line.

So what’s the deal? Have they scammed people out of a couple hundred dollars and disappeared? Are they a bunch of stoners and bad businessmen with good intentions but the inability to get their shit together in a timely manner? Maybe all the parts haven’t come in; perhaps the team is scrambling for the resources to fill their first wave of orders. And if they are, why haven’t the updated the angry and confused customers who have already paid?
