This was so funny! Seriously! It's hilarious seeing people who are typically "good" being portrayed as d-bags. You should do others! Muhammad, Martin Luther King JR, popes, george washington… you could even do a series of "evil" people being portrayed as good people! Like Satan, Hitler, Stalin… although somehow I just don't see it being quite as successful.
I knew the artist of these illustrations. Larry Van Pelt. I used to mow his lawn. I also know several of the people in the portraits. The pastor (Rev. Ed Chandler), the lady with the pies (Linda Howell), the guy drawing is a self-portrait, the dude with the french horn (Daniel Gilland). Most of them were all really cool folks, but knowing who they are actually makes it more funny to me.
It's easier to make fun of Christians cause they wont murder innocent people and destroy public property when you do it.

I am a Christian, and when I read the title of the link for this I knew what I was getting into. I read it, and it made me laugh. Do I feel guilty? Yes. Do I think that any symbol of reverence from any number of religions could have been substituted in and been just as funny? Yes. Am I offended? Maybe by my own reactions. But humor is what it is.

Dudes. I'm religious, I believe in Jesus, and I found this hilarious. I doubt Jesus cares if I laugh at an image somebody made of him, it's not really sacrilegious. Of course you could take this as blasphemy, but you should lighten up, maybe you could look upwards and say "You know I don't believe this crap, right? It's just funny".
Honestly i did find some of this funny but when it came to the stuff with children like they are burning in hell and the one where the lil boy was kissing the mom or whoever and jesus is all like stick your tongue in thats just disgusting!
I am a Christian and honestly, I laughed at this. When it comes down to it, comedy is just funny. Why are you fellow Christians upset? These are meant to poke fun at Jesus. They portray the exact opposite of what he represents. So, in other words, the person that made these obviously knew it would portray something that's false. But that is the comedy. If you believe what Christians do, as I do, then why does this offend you?? I have made the choice to follow the lord. It doesn't offend me at all. It doesn't change what I feel is the truth. Jesus said turn the other cheek. And yet you call these people on the site disgusting and bigots. Take a look in the mirror and make sure that you're not hating on your fellow man. Y'all think mocking Jesus is something new and daring? He was/is the most hated man that's ever walked the face of the earth. This kind of thing has literally been going on for thousands of years. What is it about Jesus that's so much more threatening than Buddha? Or Mohammed? These depictions are incredibly telling about the heart of the person who created these…there's an old Indian proverb that goes like this " When you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, you'll know which one got hit the hardest because he'll bark the loudest."
