Real Life Mafia Boss Arrested After Playing ‘Godfather’ on Xbox
Italy – real life Mafia boss Gerlandino Messina was ironically playing the Xbox game The Godfather during the time of his arrest on October 27, 2010, police report.

The Premier of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi stated that the arrest was “an unprecedented success in the [government's] fight against organized crime.” Messina was one of Italy’s top 30 listed most dangerous fugitives, of which 28 have been arrested to date. Messina had been on the run since 1999, because he was wanted for numerous murders and of course for his association with the Mafia. Go figure.
The Godfather, the video game which Messina had been playing furiously is based on the popular Godfather movie trilogy. Police had previously found the same game in his multiple hideouts on other occasions as well. To his credit, the game is very good and makes great use of the cinematic license.
It’s almost like catching Tony Hawk “practicing” and playing endless amounts of his THQ franchised games.

The Italians are most likely beginning to have enough of him soon. The whole situation is starting to become embarrassing.
