The Justice League is widely seen as the greatest collection of heroes in the history of the (fictional) world. Even if Superman’s seemingly unsurpassed abilities ever seem to be insufficient to save the day, he can rely on a solid corps of other heroes to do something about those kryptonite chains and kick some serious Darkseid, Brainiac, or any other unlucky villain back to the cold, dark world from which he came. But what would happen if the Justice League were to rid the world of all such villains, making it a relatively safe place with just your normal, everyday villains? What would they do with their time?

We all miss the good old days when hip-hop was played through a boom box, and the king of New York was undisputedly Biggie. At that time the king of the streets in Ottawa was none other than Organized Rhyme, the acclaimed rap duo comprised of Pin the Chameleon (Greg Campbell) and MC Bones (comedian Tom Green).
Organized Rhyme re-united this past summer Montreal’s very own Just for Laughs festival. They hit the streets with Boo Ya Pictures to film a new video for their 2011 Remix of their award winning hit “Check the O.R.”.

After hours of absorption, digestion, and filtration, it inevitably ends up in the best invention of the western world: the toilet. Unless you’ve spent a lot of time traversing the unkempt wilderness, or visiting tourist attractions in third world countries, it’s easy to assume that the western toilet, complete with toilet paper and scented cleaner, is just an omnipresent facet of public and private life. The 84th Annual Academy Awards will take center stage in Hollywood on Sunday. While The Artist, starring Penelope Ann Miller, is the favorite to win the Oscar for Best Picture, offerings from George Clooney and Brad Pitt will also challenge for the night’s top-honor.
The films nominated for Best Picture are quite varied. This is evidenced by simply looking at Pitt’s offerings…the sports-themed movie Moneyball and critically acclaimed The Tree of Life. Both are long-shots, though, as are Pitt’s odds for winning Best Actor.
