Russian Prison to Install Sunbeds and Mud Baths
Butyrka prison in central Moscow has decided its time for an upgrade in its services and overhaul of  its image. One of the most notorious prisons in Russia, it’s being overhauled after lousy conditions and archaic medical equipment contributed to the death of one of its inmates. Nearly half of all of Russia’s prisoners are classified as ill, with HIV and tuberculosis as common as stool pigeons and black market cigarettes. To combat this, Sergei Telyatnikov, head of Butrykra prison says they are going to be “… developing additional medical services.â€
