Jonah Jameson from the first three Spider-Man films – J.K. Simmons – and then hit up the Facebook page, where they’ve posted Do-It-Yourself Avengers costumes like the ones in the video. Since they’ve been making less money based on the content-farm style of movie production they now consider “blockbuster hits” that flop, they’re blaming piracy and copyright infringement specifically for their losses. A little ironic, don’t you think? Considering Hollywood’s roots were based out of fleeing the strict copyright law that the first film capital of America got it’s start — the east coast.
Continue Reading →The 84th Annual Academy Awards will take center stage in Hollywood on Sunday. While The Artist, starring Penelope Ann Miller, is the favorite to win the Oscar for Best Picture, offerings from George Clooney and Brad Pitt will also challenge for the night’s top-honor.
The films nominated for Best Picture are quite varied. This is evidenced by simply looking at Pitt’s offerings…the sports-themed movie Moneyball and critically acclaimed The Tree of Life. Both are long-shots, though, as are Pitt’s odds for winning Best Actor.
