Since 1976, Lake Superior State University has issued a list of the most overused, abused and hackneyed words and phrases of the year. Their annual “Banned Words†list for 2010 includes items that if truly banned from the world’s collective vocabulary would leave the internet without some of their favorite expressions and celebrities and politicians across the U.S at a loss for words. Out of more than a thousand nominations, these are the 14 words they deemed the worst of the worst.
